Thriller Task: Lighting

For our thriller we are going to mostly use natural lighting but we might however use torches and try and change the brightness of certain places or things.

For the scene where the protagonist is in the office cabin we might just use natural lighting or the lights in the cabin. He might however, have a lantern or a torch which won't give off too much light and won't show his position too much. We will maybe try and make the protagonists face appear darker because this creates the effect of mystery.

We are filming at night, because of when the area is available, so it will be dark and it will help to create an affect of mystery. It will also allow the use of torches which could create some relly nice shots and effects.

When the soldiers are searching for the protagonist we might put small torches on their guns to shine more light on certain areas. This could allow for some more shots as we could focus the camera on the light on the walls which would create a cool effect. We might also do this because it will make the soldiers appear more official and professional.
